I have tried many recipes from Picky Palate and love many of them, so when I saw this on Pinterest... I knew I just had to try it.
I got all of my ingredients together. They actually sat on my counter like this for a few days (except for the eggs and butter), we got interrupted by a hurricane evac. When we got back a few days later I was a bit overwhelmed by let’s see:
1. Water Everywhere
2. Having to throw out every single item from our refrigerator due to extended periods of power outages.
3. Delayed school.
4. Lack of food at the grocery, (they too had to throw out their stuff)
We’re talking two weeks of having these 3 cake boxes sitting on our counter. My husband was dying and the boys, let’s not go there.
EVENTUALLY…..I did make them!!!!
Unfortunately, I must have done something really really wrong, bc they came out horrible. I just threw them out. I have not given up. I intend on making them again and making sure they turn out good, bc how can they not?
